Feeding Schedules for Your Grow
Fertilization schedule
You want your plants to grow stable and healthy, move through flowering cleanly, and deliver the results you’re aiming for? Then a well-structured feeding schedule isn’t a “nice to have” — it’s the foundation. Not every nutrient line is the same, and there are specific time windows when plants absorb certain nutrients especially well. With a good schedule, you’ll know exactly when to feed and how much to give.
The best part: you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. We’ve collected ready-to-use feeding schedules from well-known manufacturers — free and directly linked.
Why feeding schedules make such a big difference
A feeding schedule is basically a roadmap: it connects veg, bloom, water quality and your medium (soil, coco, hydro) with the right dosages. This matters because most grow problems aren’t “mysterious” — they’re usually measurement mistakes + timing:
- Too much too early: young plants get overfed → burnt tips, stress, growth stalls.
- Too little too late: bloom starts but P/K is lacking → weak bud build, less density.
- Wrong schedule for the medium: treating soil like hydro (or the other way around) → pH/EC drift, lockout risk.
- Ignoring water quality: hard water + Cal/Mag + boosters → the overall balance can shift quickly.
Good manufacturer schedules help you avoid these traps. They won’t be “perfect” for every single setup — but they’re a solid baseline you can safely fine-tune from.
How to use schedules correctly (without the usual mistakes)
1) Choose the right schedule for your setup
- Soil (Terra/Soil): more forgiving, pH swings are tolerated better — but excess nutrients can “build up” in the medium.
- Coco: reacts faster and needs cleaner EC management — “too little” shows quickly, but “too much” does too.
- Hydro: максимально direct — top control, but mistakes show up immediately.
- Organic: less “push”, more stable biology — time and microbes are part of the system.
2) Start at 70–80% of the manufacturer’s dosage
Many schedules are designed to work well under ideal conditions. If you’re starting fresh, go conservative: slightly under rather than over. You can always increase.
3) Keep an eye on pH & EC (especially in coco/hydro)
Even the best schedule won’t help if your water is “off”. In coco/hydro, pH & EC are your guardrails. And one big factor: water quality (hard/soft/RO) often decides whether you need extra Cal/Mag — or you don’t.
4) Track your adjustments
Keep quick notes: strain, temperature, humidity, EC/pH, dosage — after 1–2 runs, you’ll dial in your perfect routine much faster.
Plagron feeding schedules
Logo note: Plagron logo — purple uppercase lettering with a green element shaped like a leaf.
Plagron offers a wide range of feeding schedules tailored to different grow systems and needs. These clear plans help you deliver the right nutrients at the right time — whether you’re a beginner or an experienced grower. Schedules are available in multiple languages: German, English and Hungarian.
100% Natural
100% Coco
100% Hydro
100% Terra
Grow Island tip: If you switch between coco/hydro and soil, make sure you switch schedules too — and give your setup 7–10 days before judging results (not all stress shows immediately).
CANNA feeding schedules
CANNA provides detailed feeding schedules matched to growth stages and cultivation systems. They help you feed efficiently and with purpose. As a bonus, CANNA also offers an interactive Grow Guide that generates a personalized schedule based on your setup.

Downloads (Grow Schedules)
If you prefer ready-made PDFs, you’ll find official download pages here — including Hydro (Hard/Soft Water), Coco, Terra, Aqua, COGr and more:
- CANNA Downloads: Grow Schedules (Übersicht)
- CANNA UK Downloads
- CANNA ES Downloads (inkl. Hydro Hard/Soft, COGr, Coco, Aqua, Terra)
Biocanna (Indoor/Outdoor/Home Grow Kit)
The easiest way to access BIOCANNA schedules is through the Grow Guide (select BIOCANNA). For specific kits/manuals, there are also separate PDFs (e.g. Home Grow Kit documents).
- Biocanna Indoor grow schedule (über Grow Guide)
- Biocanna Outdoor grow schedule (über Grow Guide)
- Biocanna Home Grow Kit grow schedule (über Grow Guide)
- Canna Terra Home Grow Kit (PDF/Manual)
Grow Island tip: With CANNA, “Hard vs. Soft Water” really matters. If your tap water is hard, use the matching hydro schedule — or set your water parameters correctly in the Grow Guide.
HESI feeding schedules
HESI schedules offer a simple, practical guide to correct nutrient supply, tailored to different systems and growth stages. They’re available for free in German and English.
- Düngeschema Erde (DE)
- Düngeschema Hydro (DE)
- Düngeschema Coco (DE)
- Grow Schedule Soil / Hydro / Coco (EN – Downloads-Seite)
Grow Island tip: HESI works best when you water “clean” (don’t keep the medium constantly soaked). Let the medium do its job — and adjust dosage based on plant response rather than the calendar alone.
BioTabs feeding schedules
BioTabs follows a clean organic approach: fewer bottles, more system. Their manuals help you dose sensibly and make the most of your medium biology. Manuals are available in German and English.
- BioTabs Düngeschema / Organic Cultivation Manual (DE)
- BioTabs Grow Schedule / Organic Growing Manual (EN)
Grow Island tip: In organic systems, “too much” is often not the issue — impatience is. Give microbes time and keep temperature & humidity stable.
Crazy Hills feeding schedules
Crazy Hills schedules provide helpful guidance for optimal nutrition, aligned with the brand’s organic products. They’re free (DE/EN) and also available in different dosage formats (ml/L and ml/gal).
Grow Island tip: Always double-check whether you’re using “ml/gal” or “ml/L” — it’s one of the most common mixing mistakes.
Advanced Hydroponics feeding schedule
Advanced Hydroponics schedules give you a clear, reliable guide for optimal nutrition across the entire plant lifecycle.

Grow Island tip: In hydro, mixing order and clean reservoir management are key. A schedule is powerful — but hygiene + stability decide whether your run stays smooth.
Mills feeding schedules
Logo note: Mills logo — white lettering in two lines with a black outline; the lower line is slightly smaller; the dot on the “i” in “mills” is a red cross.
Mills schedules are compact and practical, helping you build a repeatable feeding routine. They’re ideal if you want a clear structure without guesswork. There’s also a calculator that makes mixing easier.

Grow Island tip: With high-concentration programs, “small measuring errors” are real errors. Use accurate tools, mix thoroughly, and stick to a consistent protocol — Mills can be extremely repeatable when you do.
FAQ – frequently asked questions about feeding schedules
“I have a schedule — do I have to follow it 1:1?”
Not necessarily. A schedule is your baseline. If your plant clearly shows it needs less (too dark green, burnt tips) or more (pale color, weak stretch), you adjust. But don’t change everything every day — make changes controlled.
“What matters more: EC or ml dosage?”
In coco/hydro, EC is often the better reality check, because water quality and base EC can have a big impact. In soil/organic setups, ml-based guidance is often enough — as long as you’re not feeding too frequently.
“Hard Water / Soft Water — how do I know which one I have?”
Check your local water supplier’s data (usually online), or measure with an EC meter + test strips. As a rough rule: very hard water often already contains a lot of Ca/Mg — adding extra Cal/Mag can quickly become too much.
“Can I mix different brands?”
You can — but then you’re operating outside the manufacturer-tested system. If you mix, do it with a plan (watch EC/pH), and change only one variable at a time, otherwise you won’t know what caused the result.
“I’m a complete beginner — where should I start?”
Pick a schedule that matches your medium (soil/coco/hydro), start at 70–80% dosage, and observe. If you want, Grow Island can help you choose the schedule that fits your setup best.
