SANlight STIXX 5-120 Full-Spectrum LED Grow Light, 117 W

The SANlight STIXX 5-120 is a slim full-spectrum LED bar with five modules for indoor growing areas 120 cm deep. At a power consumption of 117 W, the light delivers a photon flux of 317 µmol/s.

It is suitable for larger growing areas, multi-tier growing systems and vertical farming. When planning several levels or rows of plants, you can consider the lighting arrangement and power supply separately and select the required components accordingly.

Full spectrum with 90/135° optics

The combination of full-spectrum light and 90/135° optics provides the basis for broad light distribution. The optics spread the light at different angles in two directions. Take the orientation of the bar into account when deciding where to position it.

The intended growing area depth of 120 cm helps with model selection. Planning the complete lighting setup also requires consideration of the area’s width, the number of bars and their arrangement. Check their positions against your actual crop.

Low profile for multi-tier installations

The light measures 1131 × 85 × 16.9 mm and weighs 1.69 kg. Its actual length is 113.1 cm. Use these dimensions when planning installation; the number 120 in the model name refers to the designed growing area depth.

At just 16.9 mm high, the bar takes up little space in the setup. This is useful in shelving systems where each level needs careful planning. Also account for plant height, safety clearances and the room needed for maintenance and access.

Select the driver and wiring separately

The STIXX 5-120 does not include a driver, cables or accessories. The light requires a STIXX power supply approved for this model. Before buying accessories, decide how many lights you want to use and how you intend to arrange them.

Only identical lights from the same model series may be powered by a shared driver. The SANlight driver overview shows which combinations are permitted. Check this compatibility again if you expand the setup later.

Setup and connection step by step

Plan the driver’s location together with the cable routing. Connections should remain accessible, with no tension on the cables. Secure every light against falling and check that the mounting is firm before use.

Carry out installation and connection with the mains power disconnected. Inspect the parts for damage beforehand and connect the setup to the mains only after it is fully assembled and checked.

Decide on the installation position and an approved STIXX driver.
Mount the bar and check the required safety clearances.
Connect the appropriate cables and seal open DC connections with end plugs.
Check the mounting and connections, then connect the driver to the mains.

Care for the light optics

First disconnect the system from the mains before cleaning. Clean the optics with a soft, non-abrasive cloth and distilled water. Do not use cleaning agents on the optics and treat the surface gently.

A bar that is easy to reach makes day-to-day maintenance simpler. While cleaning, inspect the cables and suspension for visible damage, especially if you have changed the arrangement on a shelf level.

Observe clearances and protect against moisture

Maintain at least 15 cm clearance from the illuminated area and surrounding objects. Keep the light unobstructed, provide airflow and avoid contact with plant parts. Do not look directly into the light source when it is on.

The light is rated IP68, but the driver’s mains-side connection is not waterproof. Protect the plug and socket connection from moisture and water. Disconnect the power before working on the setup and do not use damaged components.
